Admission Process

Step 1 –

All candidates seeking admission to VIM will be required to have appeared in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs or MAT conducted by AIMA or any other government approved test for MBA and for BBA & BCA candidates are required to appear in common admission test conducted by CSJM University. If any student has not appeared in any admission test he/she can apply in the institute by giving admission test conducted by VIM, Kanpur.

Step 2 – Registration at VIM

Besides the written test the candidates are required to register at VIM through a separate application form which will be available along with information brochure from Admission Coordinator, VIM, Kanpur

Step 3 – G.D. and Interview at VIM

Candidates short listed on the basis of CAT/MAT/other test will be called for Group discussion, Extempore and Interview for final selection. Selected candidates will be intimated by Registered Post/ Courier/ Ordinary post. No regret letters will be sent to those who are not selected.

Foreign Nationals/ NRIs/ Corporate Sponsored Candidates

NRI candidates residing in India and corporate sponsored candidates will have to appear in CAT/MAT/GMAT. NRI candidates residing abroad and foreign students are exempted from written test and can apply directly to VIM. Foreign students will be required to obtain NOC from Ministry of HRD.

Such forms can also be downloaded from this site on Form Download. Such downloaded forms will be submitted along with DD of Rs 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) payable in favour of “Vision Institute of Management” payable at Kanpur.

Cost of Application Form & Brochure

Admission form & brochure can be obtained from Admission Co-ordinator by paying Rs 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) Cash/DD or Rs 1050/- (One Thousand Fifty only) if requested by post.
